WHAT:  Home Start Hope (HSH) is holding its annual fundraiser, the Black Jack Ball on Saturday, April  8th at Irondequoit Country Club. This event includes a silent and live auction, casino gaming, live music by The Uptown Groove and promises an evening of fun while supporting a great cause. This year’s theme is Reach for the Stars – a fitting tribute to the women we serve who are rebuilding their lives.
Home Start Hope raises funds to provide new, essential household items to women and their children who are transitioning to independent living from Bethany House or Sojourner House. Essential items including blankets, pillows, towels, and sheets are just a few of the items provided to allow these women a fresh start to an independent life. A complete “Wish-list” is available on our website, www.homestarthope.org.
All proceeds from the 2017 Black Jack Ball directly benefit members of the Rochester community, and to date, nearly 300 community members have been served via the Home Start Hope program. 98% of the funds raised by Home Start Hope are used to purchase items and help local women make a fresh start.
