Home Start Hope (HSH) is holding a new fundraising event, its 1st Annual Bowl for Hope Fun-Raiser. The fundraiser will take place on Sunday, October 22nd at AMF Empire Lanes, 2300 Empire Boulevard in Webster. This event will include 32 teams, raffles, games and prizes, including a prize for most money raised by a team and an individual.  This event promises an afternoon of fun for families while supporting a great cause. This year’s new event will allow us to continue our mission of helping the women we serve, to rebuild their lives and give them hope for a brighter future as they begin their journey to self-sufficiency.
Home Start Hope raises funds to provide new, essential household items to women and their children who are transitioning to independent living from Bethany House, Sojourner House, or Veterans Outreach Center. Essential items including blankets, pillows, towels, and sheets are just a few of the items provided to allow these women a fresh start to an independent life. A complete “Wish-list” is available here.
Proceeds from the 2017 Bowl for Hope Fun-Raiser directly benefit members of the Greater Rochester area.  Over 300 women and children have been served via the Home Start Hope program. More than 90% of the funds raised by Home Start Hope are used to purchase items and help local women make a fresh start.
Anyone who would like to help support Home Start Hope can do so by making a secure online donation at, by donating Target gift cards, or by purchasing Wish List items using the Home Start Hope registry at
