It all begins at Home….

Home Start Hope provides essential household items to women and their children transitioning from Bethany or Sojourner House to independent living.

Overview:
By providing these essential household items, it is our goal to support the women as they begin the journey of rebuilding their lives with renewed dignity and self-esteem.
Description:
Bethany House is a Catholic Worker House of Hospitality, providing emergency shelter to women and their children. These women are embraced for 45 days. The volunteers at Bethany House help them find permanent housing, job opportunities, and other social services they need to get back on their feet. Sojourner House at PathStone serves homeless women and children by providing housing, self-sufficiency skills, and education programs, including afterschool tutoring and performing arts classes for kids.
General Information:
We are a Not-For-Profit Organization founded by Kristin Mathis, Linda Kehoe, Mary Rathbun, and Tisa Lach. We support the women who have been guests of Bethany House and are moving on towards a brighter future. Our wish is to be able to provide new household items — dishes, linens, etc. — as everyone deserves nice, new things to begin again!
